If you’ve spent any time on Twitch or in gaming communities, you’ve probably seen the term KEKW being spammed in chat during funny moments. But what exactly is the kekw meaning and where did it come from?

The kekw meaning is simple—it’s an emote used to express uncontrollable laughter, similar to saying “LOL” or “ROFL.” It became popular on Twitch thanks to a clip of Spanish comedian Juan Joya Borja (also known as “El Risitas”) laughing hysterically during an interview. His unique laugh and facial expression were turned into the KEKW emote, and it quickly spread through the streaming community.

Now, whenever something hilariously unexpected happens during a stream, viewers react with KEKW to show they’re laughing along. It’s become part of internet culture and is often used beyond Twitch—in memes, Discord servers, and even in YouTube comments.

In this thread, feel free to share how you use kekw meaning, when you first saw it, and your favorite moments where KEKW was the perfect reaction. Let’s laugh together and explore more fun internet slang!
